Handcrafted Stoneware Pottery by Nancy Niefield (see below) will be awarded to the Stockade-athon Men’s Champion, Women’s Champion and Age-Graded Champion.
Handcrafted Pottery will be awarded to the first male & female runner in 5-year age-groups beginning with ages 15-19 through 75-79. Additional awards for higher age-groups will depend on participation. To be eligible for an award, you must complete the course in 2 hours or less.
Pottery will be awarded to male and female open and master’s winners of the Clydesdale Division. Men 200 LBS Plus and Women 140 LBS Plus
To be eligible for a Clydesdale Award, a runner must weigh in at Packet Pickup.
Awards will also be given to second and third place in each of the aforementioned divisions.
The Award Ceremony will be held at Noon in Central Park at the Park Pavilion or the Park Casino near the finish line. Please make arrangements to attend the award ceremony if you win an award. Handcrafted Pottery will not be mailed.
Raffle prizes will be awarded at random to those in attendance at the award ceremony.
Nancy Niefield
Nancy Niefield started "throwing" on the potter's wheel in 1968 when she was studying art education at Douglass College (Rutgers University, New Jersey). She received a master's degree in studio art from University of Minnesota. She has taught art and pottery to every age group. She teaches Ceramics at Union College in Schenectady, New York. In 1988 she opened TWO SPRUCE POTTERY, her studio and sales gallery in Schenectady, New York.

USATF Rules – prohibit using headphones or any communication devices during competition. Competitive athletes are responsible for learning the route and staying on the course, wearing a chip on their shoe and crossing timing mats at various locations on the course. Athlete’s BIB numbers and chips are non-transferable. In addition, competitive athletes are prohibited from being paced by a faster runner, partner or coach. Violation of any of these rules will result in disqualification and forfeit of award.
Athletes who participate in this competition may be subject to formal drug testing in accordance with USATF and IAAF rules, in accordance with USOC, USADA, or IAAF procedures. Athletes found, after a disciplinary hearing, to be positive for prohibited substances, as defined by the WADA Code and/or IAAF, or who refuse to be tested, will be disqualified from this event and may lose eligibility for future competitions. Any prize money payable to an athlete who has tested positive shall be withheld until the final disposition of all disciplinary proceedings. BEWARE: Some prescriptions, over the counter medications, and nutritional supplements may contain prohibited substances.
